Deepa Reddy

Deepa S. Reddy is a cultural anthropologist with the University of Houston-Clear Lake, convener of a documentation project on Indian heritage rices with five others called Shalikuta, and an experimenter, explorer and storyteller on her own blog paticheri.com. Her guiding objective is to use food stories as pathways to reach deep into our vast culinary, botanical, and philosophical heritage, to pull from there fresh syntheses of our selves that are both rooted and suited to modern times, and thus to reclaim the Indian ways of thinking that uniquely define us and bring us all together.
